STREAMBOX

Multiplexing without format limit

Automated sampling for your GC

Streambox is a heated valve housing that can accommodate up to 3 sampling valves. Used in particular for multiplexing, it automatically transmits gas from several sources (gas pocket, cylinder, etc.) to a GC Shimadzu for automated analysis.

STREAMBOX, Multiply the possibilities

STREAMBOX adapts to your sample conditions.

Your gas samples can be presented under different containers with each of its constraints (temperature, pressure, etc.). When their number is large, automate sampling and analysis becomes necessary.

STREAMBOX is a valve housing designed to be directly controlled by GC Shimadzu for quick and easy integration for analysis of up to 16 samples.

Need more capacity?

Streambox can be offered with an integrated controller to handle up to 46 channels or simply automate parts of the sample.

To manage the stresses of your samples (pressure, temperature, reactivity of compounds), several options allow you to adapt your STREAMBOX to your use.

Streambox

STREAMBOX, a product designed and manufactured by CHEMLYS, allows great flexibility in multiplexing for GC analysis of samples.

  • Automated analysis of several sample streams, without required container format (gas pocket, cylinder, canister...)
  • GC software piloting up to 16 streams.
  • Analysis of reactive compounds (Silconert treatment 2000) or specific matrix (H2).
  • Case heating at 80°C or 140°C.

The Science of VUV Detection: Beyond Traditional Chromatography

STREAMBOX is a multiplexing housing that positions next to a GC (right or left) to sequentially route a sample of gases to be analysed. It is controlled by the GC and is ordered to select a sample that circulates and is transferred to the GC for analysis.

In its version "gas bag passer", a pump and a rotameter ensure the repeatable sampling of samples whatever the matrix (N2, H2...).

The samples are connected to the valve by 1/16" tube through slots on both sides of the housing for a uniform distribution of your samples around the housing. STREAMBOX is then connected to the GC by a heated transfer line inserted into a split/splitless injector.

STREAMBOX can be heated to 80°C or 140°C to promote the transfer of semi-volatile gases. Sample transfer lines can be connected without cold point to the valves and the sample is then transferred to the GC.

In order to manage the constraints of your samples, STREAMBOX can be offered as a treated version, with Silconert 2000 treatment that avoids the adsorption of reactive compounds (H2S, NH3...)

Available options:

  • Silconert treatment 2000: a must for reactive compounds (sulphur compounds, ammonia..)
  • Automation: up to 46 sample streams on a Micro GC or 30 sample streams on a GC.
  • Streambox version "Gas sampling bag pusher": atmospheric pressure sampling.

STREAMBOX can be configured to be right or left.

The choice of CHEMLYS :

Design sampling products that meet your expectations.

Work safely: STREAMBOX can be swept away by an inert gas stream to protect against gas build-up in case of leakage, especially in the case of hydrogen.

Simplified maintenance: the valves are in front under the hood for better accessibility.

A tool with multiple applications: allow you to meet evolving sampling needs.

STREAMBOX can adapt to several types of container: cylinder, canister, tedlar bag and other types of gas bag.
